Historic Natchez, Mississippi

IMG_20160321_0937519_rewindThe third day of our trip was our day in historic Natchez, Mississippi.
We started out of day having breakfast at The Castle. It is located on the grounds of Dunleith House. This restaurant was on our list of places we wanted to eat at. But with younger children we thought breakfast would be the best time to take them. It was a breakfast buffet and very yummy.

We visited the Natchez Visitor Center, a few churches, Memorial Park, the William Johnson House, and the river walk along the Mississippi river.  Natchez also has many beautiful antebellum homes. On this trip We choose to not visit any of the homes. Our children are younger. We we were not confident that the homes would hold their attention enough to justify the price of admission.

After exploring all morning, We went to Hot Mama’s Tamales for lunch. It was a fun little local favorite.
