We visited Tishomingo State Park over Labor Day weekend. We were very happy to see what a great state park this was. There was so much for us to do and the campground was very nice.
We stayed in campsite #13. It was right on the lake. Our site was paved, had a picnic table, grill and fire pit. The sites were very spacious and we had so much privacy. Well except for the ducks that live in the campground and visited us throughout our stay. Our site was directly across from the bathhouse. The bathhouse was small, but it was clean and met our needs.
Tishomingo State Park has quite a bit of activities. We hiked a few of the trails and explored the old cabins. There was a nice playground for the children. We also did a canoe trip down Bear Creek. The canoe rentals do book up fast so I would recommend calling ahead to reserve your spot.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Tishomingo State Park. The park is beautiful, well kept and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We hope to be able to go back again.
